Hello,

I installed moodle into a subdomain of my site. But when I go to that subdomain either via http://subdomain.domain.com or via www.domain.com/subdomain I don't get a moodle homepage. Instead I get a page cannot be displayed HTPP 500 Internal Server error.

When I installed Moodle with Fantastico the install was succesful. And when I look at the folder Subdomain it is filled with all the Moodle files.

So why isn't it working?

Any ideas, anyone?

This may be caused by incorrect permissions of files, incorrect lines in a .htaccess file, or maybe something else.

It is a good idea to check the error log in cPanel -- it will give you the exact reason for the 500 ISE error.

You can also post a ticket and have us take a look at the installation.

Hi Kenny,

Thank you for your reply. It was a permissions problem, which I found out after posting a ticket.

If changing the permission on a folder is an action that's always needed after a Moodle installation, as it seems, it would be handy to add this to the Moodle tutorial on Siteground.
