Hi!

I am a newbie - I have built a Joomla site in my main directory at stief.com. Then I created a new sub domain called sitebuilder.stief.com.

Now I would like to create a Site Builder site on the sub domain, but haven't figured out how to do it. And I don't want it to write over the Joomla files.

So how do I publish to the sub domain?

As a side note - I have not transferred the dns servers from my previous web hosting (http://www.siteground.com) company - if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Dan

Hello,

The basic version of SiteBuilder tool allows creating just one website and places it in the public_html folder.

If you want to create more than one site (publish to subdomain), you will need to purchase a SiteBuilder Upgrade. The SiteBuilder Pro has the functionality you need.

The alternative way is to move the joomla application to a subfolder and to publish the SB made site.

Ummm I find that question interesting as I may run into the same problem.

Let's see I have a web site which was created with a site builder named

something.com could I create a subfolder for ie

something.com/xmas2006

and in the xmas2006 ftp a whole new site with of course a index. html ?

Would that work ?

If I understand correctly if I want to build a second site with sitebuilder I would have to upgrade, right ?

Once I upgrade, how many sites (subdomains) could I create using sitebuilder ?

Thanks a lot

As far as I am aware of the functionality of this SiteBuilder, you cannot do that - it's like having two sites created with that SiteBuilder, which the basic version does not allow. If you wish to create more than website with the SiteBuilder, you will have to upgrade to the Professional version ($40 one-time fee).
