Hi,

I created an auto menu which has couple menu items that link to internal pages.

The other thing I want to do is create another menu item that link to an external site. I cannot find any thing to do this. This seems to be a fundamental function and I just cannot find a how to . Is this function possible ?

Hi pts - no, there is not a function for creating external links in the way one can create quite nice internal links. On an earlier version of my home page I simply created a text box, typed my own linking text, then created a hyperlink in the usual way for external links.

I didn't like that the external links and internal links looked different - so now on my home page I have done the above (in a text box) for both internal and external links. On my directory pages I've used the menu function.

My site is very simple - no fancy scripts or effects, so I'm happy with this compromise. See my home page at www.at-my-site.com to see what I'm rambling on about !

All the best, Julie

Thanks for you response Julie, The auto menu without external link support really make it unpopular.

Julie,

Thanks for the info. I've been struggling for TWO months to try to get an external link on the menu bar, as I can't link to my shopping cart from it - a RIDICULOUS mistake, IMO.

I paid the $40 upgrade for Sitebuilder Pro and it's a waste of money. The program is unstable at best, and very very basic.

I love siteground.com and have been very happy with the service I've received so far, but I wouldn't recommend anyone buy the Sitebuilder Pro software. Wish I'd known how useless it was before I plumped down $40 :-(

I am beginning to think the same, also just spent $40.00 so i could add new pages without the links appearing on the top menu, guess what its not possible.

I mean 178 odd templates and you cant even change the menu navigation, not even on one template ....
