HTML does not display correctly...

I am attempting to upload simple html files to my site but they display with chinese characters on them.

When viewing the code in the Siteground file manager it looks fine but when I view the page source it looks corrupted. The above link is to my index.html file with one simple preformatted sentence and I can't even get that to appear correctly!

Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm using a free html editor, Trellian Webpage.

Are you still experiencing the same issues? I've checked your page but all seems to be loading just fine for me.
