I'm trying to make a MySQL connection to one of my remote databases from Dreamweaver but am continually getting Access denied errors and unspecified errors.

I've tried all combinations of MySQL server and Username that I can think of but to no avail

I also needed to configure a test server in Dreamweaver, but don't have one so configured it with the same information as my Remote information - is this correct?

Can anyone help

I am not versed in Sql bases however I have a friend that has forgotten more about Sql databases than most people will ever know. I feel like if anyone can help you he will be able to.

He runs a Support site on Siteground named Family Castle (http://www.billthome.com) !

His support is for ImNuke CMS, PhpNuke, PostNuke or anything else he can help with. He is a Very Nice person and a very good friend of mine. He is the reason I am on Siteground as of 1 day and counting...LOL

Give him a try, I know if he can he will help you all he can.

I have been very impressed with what I have read on this forum. Nothing Bad about siteground that I have saw. The Help team is Really Unreal. That is a Very Rare feature of Support on any hosting service.

I hope to be with Siteground for a Very Long time to come.

I'm having the same issue as described.

I want to connect to my CRELoaded mysql site via Dreamweaver so that I can see and develop pages. However, I cannot seem to connect.

The fields in Dreamweaver MX are:
connection name
Mysql server
User Name
Password
Database

Any help is appreciated. Actually, I don't know my password for the database because I didn't set it up but can see the database name easily enough in Cpanel mysql admin.

yes i'm having the same issues - i have all the info and i've tried all the permutations and still it won't connect, i've added my ip address as well to the remote addresses - maybe you haven't done that yet?

The tutorial isn't clear as to what you type as there seems to be things you append onto your user name or put infront of - it just isn't clear at all.

I've wasted all afternoon trying to get some help on this - i'm literally tearing my hair out - i'm now starting to get a migraine - so that will be another day gone in bed because of this.

i'm going to bed - i need a lie down - (not a joke by the way!!) - totally stressed out!

support is not good by the way i've gone round in circles - there is no support ticket - only for sales - no phone line paid or unpaid, just an unclear tutorial where you have to guess your username and password even though you know it!
