Hi,
I was wondering if any SiteGround customer has been able to successfully run WordPress multi on a shared server?
Please I need to know because I would rather not have to go out and find another host since SiteGround does not allow Shell access...?
Just wondering...
Thanks,
Jose

Hello Jose,
I have never installed WP Multiuser edition, however, here there is what it is said about it's requirements:
Requirements
Apart from WordPress Requirements (http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/)
Smarty (included), you can find more info at smarty.php.net (http://smarty.php.net/)
Apache mod_rewrite (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_rewrite.html) - if you had WP installed already with fancy URLs then you should be fine.
Apache FollowSymlinks (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/core.html#options) must be switched on. This will disappear in later releases.
All of these are available on our servers, so it should be running flawlessly.
Let us know if you need assistance installing it...
As for the shell access, we do not provide such unless on a VPS account, due to security reasons. However, I do not think you will need SSH access for installing or managing it.. :) We can install it for you too
