hello all!

First of all, id like to thank Siteground for providing lovely templates free of charge - it really helps people create varied sites without having to be code gurus, so thank you!

Im currently using, or trying to use ;), siteground j15-23 on a subdomain off my main site, otherwise known as 'clouds' which is a lovely clean template.

The trouble im having is where the article is not word wrapping - and i have no idea why! I have checked any wrap settings and am not finding anything. The website is www.alternativeanswers.net/beyondasana and an article which highlights the problem well is http://www.alternativeanswers.net/beyondasana/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45&Itemid=54....you will clearly be able to see the problem - the template is a fixed width but the article wants to run all the way to the edge of the screen and beyond!!! :)

This seems to be a limitation in the template because when the initial right hand columns are in place, they force the wrapping...but i dont really want to have to use right hand columns!

any ideas, hints, pointers?

many thanks in advance

Darren

Update to this problem:

I have found the setting in the template.css file which alters the main column width - so i can change the width of my front page article to be narrower or wider than the template 'box'....but this DOESNT affect the article i referred to above...which has really confused me!

I have changed width wherever something seemed to refer to input in the css (and i was wrong, of course!) and i also inserted 'white-space: pre-line; and 'text-wrap: suppress;' just about everywhere and it still hasn't helped....

can someone please give me a pointer?

many thanks

Darren

For anyone else experiencing this problem - it isn't a template issue. It's ghosts in the editor in Joomla.

Heres the fix:

You probably have an embedded image in the article which isnt wrapping properly so heres what to do:

Dump the existing article and do a new one with ONLY the text. Then, save it. Then go back into it and add the image. It should be fine.

No idea why this happens - doesn't happen every time, certainly its happened more often on right-aligned images than others, but its there, it happens...what can you do?

So there you go! Hope it helps you if you had similar trouble

Edited to add: I just did an article that broke the rule! I had no image in it and the <insert expletive here> thing didn't wrap - so my other fix is this : copy the body text into MS Word or Open Office and then copy it back....seems to work if the above doesn't.

I think you copied the text from another site where the actual document layout makes it do this. The copy and paste into another application allows you to strip some of the unneccesary layout
