I use Joomla (love it) but lately I have been thinking that there must be some way to prevent the Log Reports (in Webalizer for instance) from showing all of the pages on my website as being a referrer to other pages in my website. My referrer reports are huge with so many of these and it's basically worthless to me.
Trying to get referral information from the Webalizer stats that SiteGround provides is nearly impossible with CMS' such as these because webalizer tallies up the referrals of one page to another within the domain.
For instance:
www.mysite.com top referrals in Webalizer might show as:
mysite.com/contentview/32/100
mysite.com/contentview/dograces/jonipics/
mysite.com/wrapperplug/updates/groovy
etc. etc.
This does not, unfortunately, tell my clients where people are coming to their sites from. It only tells them that they've got people hopping from page to page within the site.
I think it would be as easy as adding "Hidereferrer mysite.com" to the config file, but I don't know where or how to get to the conf file.
Anyone here that can help me? :)
