Hi
Using siteground60 Template and is looking fine in Firefox. A User alerted me to check the Site in IE (www.blackangelsmcc.co.za/index.php)
I see the main Content Area in IE sits below the left Side Menu. I checked The Frontpage and other Articles like "About US etc but they all sit below the Menu and not right top next to the Menu.
I tried increasing the main body area which was set to 836 px to 936 but that did not look right either.
Any help appreciated as I would like to keep this Template
Regards

Hi,

I checked the provided link with both IE7 and Firefox2 and as you can see from the attacked screenshots, your site looks identical with both browsers. Could you please let me know which version of IE you are using, as well as the resolution you use?

Hi
Thanks for quick Reply
I am using FF but tend to forget that some Users are still using IE
I tested the Users comment on IE 6 on my Computer with Screen Res 1024 x 768 and I can see the Problem myself See attached Screen Shot (In IE i can only do PRINT SCREEEN, where as in FF I am using FIRESHOT
Any Content when clicked on from the Left Side Menu such as CONTACT US or GALLERY etc ends up below the Menu on left side ( in IE) whereas in FF the Content is fine in the MAin Areas next to Menu
Any Ideas on that?
Regards
Manfred

I am afraid I am not able to see the issue from these screenshots. You can try creating new ones by holding Alt+Print Screen. This will create a screenshot of the current window only.

Also, which version of IE do you use?

For testing on my Comp. I have only IE 6 I wanted to send larger Screenshots but the max Height is 280 apparently.You can maybe see on this Shot that the FAQ Sample Item or Newsflash sits just below the little ICON (template made by Joomla) which is on the left side below the menu. In FF the same Article is positioned in the main content area right of the Menu (where it should be)
Something to do with the IE Ver?? or CSS
Can I get this Screenshot to you somehow larger?
Regards
Manfred

Hi
I played around a bit with the Css file and maybe found a solution to the problem (for anybody else you might come across this) I am not sure if this is the RIGHT WAY of doing it neither if it maybe messes something else up but so far so good
In the css file find

#main {template_css.css (line 139)
float:left;
margin:0pt 15px 0pt 0pt;
width:626px;

I changed the float from left to right which still left the content below the Main Menu but more to the right Side, Then I reduced the width from 626px to 526px as I thought maybe the Container is too big to fit into the space above and that seemed to work.
Any Ideas or Comments on this please .
Regards
Manfred
PS Changed Float back to left and reduced margin to 5 but kept the width at 526 which seems to work in IE

To Manfredk:

I'm not the most experienced CSS coder, but in my experience whatever works is the right way. Changing the margin to a padding might also have worked. If I remember correctly from my research, FF and IE render margins differently and that may have been the problem. But congrats on getting it working.

To sherincherian:

Have you tried reinstalling the template? It could be that it didn't install correctly and the image file is corrupted or just not there.

The original installation package of this template does not contain such a file. The contents of the siteground60/images/ directory is the following:

background.jpg
banner_01.jpg
banner_02.jpg
emailButton.png
footer.jpg
header.jpg
lefttable.jpg
pdf_button.png
printButton.png
righttable.jpg

If the file which you are referring to is one of the above mentioned ones, you can download the template and extract the desired file from the following URL:
