siteground-j15-54 vs. IE 6

template siteground-j15-54 does not work with IE, atl least versions 6 and 7. A dialogue box appears with the message:

"Internet Exploer cannot open the Internet site
http://... url...

Operation aborted"

This is a really nice template, and I'd love to use in a site I am building, but obvioously it's no good if the site won't open under IE.
Using Joomla 1.5 (version current for June 2008). Template opens fine with Firefox and Safari, and the site displays correctly in IE using other templates.

I've just tested the template on a brand new Joomla installation and did not notice any issues with my IE 7. Would you mind provide me with a link where I can recreate the issue and see what is causing it?

Well... this is the darndest thing. I applied the same template to another test site I have, and there it worked fine with IE. So I came back to my original test site where the problem occurred (http://www.gekkotesting.com/alejoomla/), re-applied the template, and now it worked correctly!

I would happily admit to the possibility of madness and hallucinations, except for the fact that the problem was reported to me by a customer who was not able to see the site because of the error reported, and because I also found other references on the Internet to the same thing - unfortunately they are all either in German or in French, so I could not understand what they were all about.
Oh well.. one of those weird mysteries of the HTML world...

Hi,

I am glad the problem was resolved. Alas, we cannot be certain what has caused it, but it was reported to our develoers, who will try to reproduce it and apply a fix.

I have to bring this one up again. I have problems with the same thing Gekkosan describes, but I have noticed that this error only appears when I'm logging in from frontend. Logging in is no problem, but when I click on a link in the main menu it crashes. I've tried reinstall without any luck. Original CSS and index.php in folder, it still won't work. Have not too many components, only JCE 1.5.0 editor, tried to disable it but no changes. Works fine with other templates.

Is there any fix for this??
