Hi

I'm using template 15_19 for Joomla 1.5 and am more than happy with it except for the photo. I've tried to change it through cPanel with no joy, I even tried to change permissions of the folders etc but it would seem that I'm not able to do that.

Is their another way of being able to change the image as the current image is not really suitable for a sea angling club.

Thanks

You can do this b y replacing the log image with one of your choice with identical dimentions. You can find out the name of the lgo image by right-clicking it in your browser and select "properties". Thi will provide you with the full URL and name of the image. Simply upload your image with the same name as the current one.

Thanks Sava for your response, but I've already tried that through cPanel file manager.

It seems I can change permissions for file and folders until I get to the "siteground-j15-19" in the templates folder were I am unable to change permissions for this folder including all files and folders below the "siteground-j15-19" folder. When I try I get the following message "Operation not permitted"

As you have said that I should be able to upload a new image with an identical name and size, I am wondering is their a problem with my cPanel or their is something in the template script which prevents me from changing files.
In Joomla template manager it when I click edit for the template it states "The Parameter-File /templates/siteground-j15-19/params.ini is Writable! "

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Most probably, the permissions of this file are 777, so you should change them to 755 to fix the error.

You can also post a ticket under the cpanel related problems category, so we cna check the other errors properly.

Hi Sava

Still no joy. I have Joomla installed in /main. Below are the settings I have at the moment

Public_html 777
Main 777 can change
Templates 777 can change
Siteground_j15_19 755 cannot change
Images 755 cannot change
Logo.jpg 644 cannot change

As this is on my free hosting that comes with my ISP I need to know whether the problem is with cPanel or not so that I can take the appropriate action (raise a ticket with my ISP)
It’s strange that I can change the permissions of the other templates that came with Joomla.
Just downloaded 15_44 and have got the same I am unable to change permissions and image.

Any ideas?

Just fired off a ticket to my isp as I downloaded a test template from another source with the same results so it looks like it could be a cPanel config issue.

If anyone has any ideas what it could be please let me know.

Thanks

Just to let you all know the problem has now been resolved, the solution was to change the folder ownership.
