a) How do i make the menu more wide in a template (eg. sg_j15-53)?
b) Is it possible to insert an own menu to the template? How?

Both are possible, but both require in-depth knowledge of PHP and CSS coding. Alas, Joomla does not provide tools for quick and easy template editing.
