I'm a web design novice, but I've built a few websites using SiteGround basic templates. I've also been working to build a website in Joomla 1.5, but the CMS Lounge template was installed and set up for me by someone else.

I'm ready to build a new website. For those of you experts out there, who can tell me why I would want to choose Mambo over Joomla? The web template I'm looking at was produced by SiteGround and is called "cinema."

Here is the mambo version:
http://mambo.siteground.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=34&Itemid=45

Here is the joomla version:
http://joomla15.siteground.com/?template=siteground-j15-56

I don't understand the difference between the two in terms of functionality.

Some facts to know:
- I don't want the movie reel image - I would like to replace it with my own.
- I do not need e-commerce yet, other than a link to paypal.

I'm having a hard time getting quick answers from SiteGround.

I thank you in advance for the education!

I myself am not a webmaster expert, but from a technical point of view, I would recommend you Joomla 1.5. It has much bigger community, thus more modules and components are created, issues are quickly fixed and new releases come out quite often, which saves lots of trouble.
