how can I attach a large file in phpbb3

I have a file I want to attach in a members only forum (so I don't want everyone to have access to it). It is large (800 mb), is there a way to attach it, or put it in a secure place where the only way to access it is through a link from my forum?

Yes, what you can do is to upload it to your account (using an FTP software is recommended) and then use the cPanel -> Password Protected Folders option to password protect the folder where it resides. This way, only the people you have given login details will be able to access the fil.

Another way to secure the file is to go into your Cpanel Filemanager, right click the file, and press password protect, then you will be taken to a Cpanel Page, and ask you details. When you do this, you have options to protect or not to protect the file.
