Yes, VPS is a great invention compared to shared hosting. In shared hosting of one of the sharing member performs any malfunction causing load on Server then all members have to face the calamity residing on the same server. But in VPS that is not the case. Your site doesn't get affected due to any activity performed by your neighbourhoods.

VPS hosting is just like dedicated hosting. It is a kind of managed hosting where you have more control. So, an error caused or a virus issue at the other host has no effect at the other hosts.
