I want to know what software they use for the magnify glass effect. Pretty cool and looks good for creating tutorials for my site.

As far as I am aware, our designers did not use a 3rd party software to create this effect. The images were edited manually using Photoshop. Below is a simple tutorial on how to achieve the same effect:
