Hello,

I am very happy with my J15-104 "Hotel" Template and would love to share the site. I just need to change the header image (img.jpg). When I try to change it I am restricted. I downloaded JoomlaXplorer and followed all the directions and I am still restricted. I may soon contact my server operator to change my CHMOD and do it for me. Is there an easier way to simply change the picture to my picture.

I will not alter the TOS and will leave the "Designed by Siteground" logo, but I really really want to have my own picture at the top. If I have to pay a fee I will, but I can't seem to find this option anywhere.

PLEASE HELP!!

Jamie

There is no need to pay a fee for this. All you have to do is to upload and overwrite the original image in the templates/template-name-here/images/ folder of your joomla. You will also need to put an image with (roughly) the same size.

I've done this a number of times. Unzip the template download to a folder on your windows PC. Identify the current image by using Windows explorer. Browse to yourtemplate/images. Set explorer view to thumbnails and you can identify the current header image and note it's name, e.g. img.jpg.
FTP the new image (Filezilla is an easy to use ftp client) to the joomlahome/templates/yourtemplate/images folder on your server. Use Filezilla to rename img.jpg on the server to img.ori so that you have a backup of the original image just in case then rename the uploaded file to img.jpg (assuming it is a jpg file). Refresh the browser window and you'll find the image has changed. It's as easy as that.
