Who conducts the examinaitions?
What is the best why to study for them?

There are quite a lot of certificates available for Java Programmers, which are conducted by Prometric on behalf of Sun Microsystems, Inc. For a full list of the certificates, please have a look at the following web page:

Probably, the best way to study for a certificate is by taking special Java classes and lesons. For available classes in your location, please visit:

Unfortunately, no employee of SiteGround is Java Certified, due to the fact that Java Technologies are not provided with our shared hosting accounts and are only supported on VPS and Dedicated servers.

just curious as to why siteground do not provide Java technologies such as servlets and jsp etc

Why is this?? is it because there is no qualified? or is it because you guys feel php is a useful alternative?? or what?

SiteGround is not currently providing Java, because it is unsuitable for our shared hosting services.

The Java platform is too heavy, and cannot be run on shared hosting servers. We can and already have provided in on VPS/Dedicated Server. If you would like to run Java, please contact our support team. They will advise you what is the most suitable upgrade for your hosting plan.
