cannot upload larger file in Media Manager

I cannot upload a pdf file of 3 meg in Media Manager while the other 2 smaller files of 600K and 300K have no problem. I have tried it on 3 different computers (vista, XP) but still failed. The max. allowed is 8 meg. My website is running Zoomla 10.0 and I have been using it for many years. Could someone tell how to fix it ?
