Template Trouble

I have a trial Joomla website. I've read a number of posts regarding trouble uploading templates, but none of them sound exactly like mine. I browse to the compressed folder, and select it. The folder name appears in the space provided, but when I press the upload/install button, it disappears and nothing happens. I don't get an error message, I don't get anything, just nothing happens. Any ideas?

If I understand you correctly, you are not able to install new templates on your Joomla site. The most common reason for that is if the FTP feature is enabled for your Joomla application. I will recommend you to try the solution provided in our article at the link below:

I followed the directions in the article, but my FTP feature was already disabled. The description in the article of the problem doesn't exactly fit with what I've been seeing. When I press the upload/install button, nothing happens, except the text box for the file goes blank. There is not error message; nothing happens.
