Symlinks, Aliases, Pre-Installed Stuff (e.g. /manual)

I noticed that there are some folders like /java-sys, /img-sys, /manual, and /cgi-sys with scripts such as formmail.pl, FormMail-clone.cgi, guestbook.cgi, mchat.cgi, entropysearch.cgi, scgiwrap, and Count.cgi. It was a little surprising having Nikto tell me about all these files that I never uploaded. Are there any other symlinks or aliases in my account? Is there a list of these somewhere? Is there a way to disable some of them (other than cpanel, webmail, etc.)?

The aliases to which you are referring are provided along with the cPanel software. You can review the applications for the mentioned aliases via the cPanel Area -> CGI Center.

Unfortunately, these aliases cannot be disabled through the cPanel Area. Thus you might consider posting a trouble ticket from your Help Desk Area and we will try disabling all aliases for your hosting account.
