I've had hosting with Siteground for a couple of years now & my domain (which ends in .org.au) was registered through a local company here in Australia. I know Siteground couldn't register the domain initially (because of the Australian extension), but now that I've just renewed it again, can I transfer the registration to Siteground?
& is there going to be any benefit?

Thanks for any help,
Hez.

Well, unfortunately we cannot transfer .org.au domains, but you can still use your domain with your SiteGround account.

In order to do this you have to point your domain's DNS servers to SiteGround.

If you do not know the DNS servers which you have to enter use our knowledge base:

http://kb.siteground.com/article/What_are_my_DNS_Records.html

Once you pointed your domain correctly there is up to 24 hours propagation period until the domain starts to resolve properly with the new DNS servers.

Well, unfortunately we cannot transfer .org.au domains.

Thanks, that was the part I wanted to know.

The .org.au domain is the one I've had with Siteground for 2 years now. I was just wondering if there was any benefit in getting Siteground to renew the registration as well (if it was going to be possible) :)
