I have a windows account and the server is down right now, which is very disturbing to me. Running a company that REQUIRES a website to operate effectively, and having that website down costs the company money. While seartching for a host, I saw on your site, this page http://siteground.com/our_servers.htm where it is stated that

"Each account is hosted on 2 independent servers supplied with the latest technologies. The main server has a super-fast dual Xeon 3.2 Ghz processors and abundant RAM, which insure that your website will work with the highest speed. The second server keeps a backup copy of your account, which can always be used in cases of emergency. With our 2-server backup system your account is fully protected against downtime and data loss!"

I was wondering how a HD crash could disable both servers? The server has been down since at least 7am PST, and it is now 6:17pm PST, that's almost 12 hours of down time, when you are supposed to have a backup of the server running and ready to go "in cases of emergency". The current situation is something I find VERY frustrating, as I cannot perform my job while the server is down.

Thank you for your time.

P.S. I am sorry if this is a duplicate post.

It is now 9:50pm PST, I have just finished talking to someone who has informed me that they are still working hard on restoring the hard drive.
The msg on the support page will probably change soon, which has been a point of 'worry' for me, since it hasn't changed for 15 hours.
Just updating my own post, for anyone else that is wondering.

The system administrators have fixed the SGWin1.com problem and all is now back online.

As for the back up system you are referring to we advertise it as part of our Linux Shared hosting account. In reality the server information page for ASP.NET accounts can be found at:

http://www.siteground.com/best_servers.htm

and does not include promise for two independent servers back up, as this is not possible on Windows servers. Unfortunately, the Windows OS does not allow us to create such a system for ASP.NET accounts. We do have back ups of ASP.NET accounts, but it is much harder to restore them than restoring a Linux back up, due to the numerous licenses restrictions applied by Windows OS.
