    Default New Customers' area!

SiteGround has released new Customers' area. The new area has a friendly design and is very easy for navigation. Our customers will find plenty of new account management and support services such as automatic renewals, real-time server status check, script installations, etc. Customers can also enhance their accounts with useful extra features like private SSL, new domains, domain ID protect and more.

You can access the old version of File Manager through your cPanel->Files section. There you should click on the Legacy File Manager icon.

You can check our cPanel tutorial at:

    Thumbs down It might be cos I's thick . . . .

but I don't think so as I have been an IT pro for over 30 years, but the custo9mer control area I see, as a new customer, bears no relation to what I see on the tutorials, and I am lost. All I want to do is set up a simple Drupal Site, and I can't do it. Can anybody help?

You can install Drupal from your hosting account cPanel, which can be accessed on:

    http://YourDomainName.com/cpanel

with the login details you have received in your welcome e-mail. Once you are inside the cPanel, you will notice an icon named "Fantastico". This is an installation tool, which includes Drupal and the installation can be performed for less than a minute.

Sorry guys...don't really like the new customer area...needs lots of improvement in functionality. I liked the white background more..when I spend a lot of time on a website, a dark background is depressing and not very inviting. I have sent you ticket to fix a few bugs on the new customer area, that are probably particular to my account. I also included a few suggestions for improvement in my opinion. Again this is my opinion and from the look of the thread, I may be a minority. So take what I say for what it is worth. But so far my experience has been a negative one and I have been a very happy long time customer of SiteGround. Also, when are you going to register .co domains?

Also, how do you access the CPanel in the new customer area?

    Thanks for the support!

Yes it would have been smart to perform extensive BETA testing with the new customer area before going live. I have been having nothing but major issues, that have been effecting my business. I also sent an message through the 'Click To Report a Bug' at the top of the page and I got no response. Then I called SiteGround and they have no record of my reporting bugs or issues....COME ON SiteGround.

Seriously, next time you should never roll out a new platform until most of the major bugs and kinks are out, which they obviously are not.

I also think the old site looked more professional and had the appearance of larger company. The new site looks like it was made in 'Website Tonight' by GoDaddy. Looks cheap!

Regards Fix my Customer Area or put it back the way it was!

Although, it is not very user intuitive, SiteGround has assisted me with my issues. So thank you SiteGround and I did finally receive a follow up email to my second contact to customer service as well. And also SiteGround has told me that they will fix other issues that I have in the New Customer Area. Thank you!
