Angry Is there anyway to get a real tech support other than the knowledge pages???!!

My testing Joomla 1.5 site is ready(on site ground) and I want to point my production domain name (hosted on 1and1) to the testing site.

I followed the instruction, changed DNS settings on 1and1, using two siteground name servers attached to my testing site domain.

After a while, the URL point to nowhere. I check DNS settings, it has been changed to site ground DNSs.

    This doesn't sound right.

SO I start trying to contact siteground about this issue.

AFTER TWO HOURS OF TRYING: CALLING 1866 NUMBER LISTED, TRYING THE HELP PAGE, TRYING RAISE A TICKET ON THIS ISSUE...AND i STILL COULDN'T EVEN FIND AN EMAIL ADDRESS THAT CAN TAKE MY QUESTIONS.I WAS ALWAYS POINTED BACK TO THE KNOWLEDGE BASE TECH SUPPORT, WHICH CAN NOT SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

Is there any one live to give any kind of tech support?Any email address that I can use to send my questions?Seems the ticket can only be raised if my site is down....

i have more than 10 sites hosted on 1and1, talking about joomla hosting, no doubt siteground is a much better hoster...but with this kind of service level, I have to hold on my idea of tansfering all my sites to SG. I can find some one to talk to at 1and1, whenever I want, at least...

    Hello wflp1503,

We have implemented this new and improved ticketing system in order to make it more convenient for our Customers. There is a knowledge base for each category.

Please, bear in mind that this is made so that our customers can resolve their issues faster. By reading the information in the knowledge base, you will be able to resolve some of the issues quickly without having to wait for a ticket reply We have collected the knowledge base from the most commonly- asked questions. Therefore, you it will give you answers to 99% of the issues that are likely to occur.

Please, review the categories in the HelpDesk tab in your Customers Area. Once you are familiar with them, you will be able to easily post your question in the correct one. You will notice that not all the categories have a link for posting a ticket. This is because there are cases your issues may not be related to the service that we provide and we may not be able to assist you.

In almost all the categories you will notice the "Go" button after the category name. With this button you can post a ticket under the corresponding heading. Please, mind that receiving a ticket in the correct category makes it easier for us to process it.
    Best Regards,
    Nikolay A.
