Joomla Contact Form/Mail Function Not Working

I have a 1.5.22 install that I cannot get the mail function to work.

I have a link to a contact so that users can submit an email to admins. So, I created a contact with just an email address, which is an email group. The group works, I have tested. When I have the contact form open, when you click submit it just goes back to the contact form but no email is ever received.

I am hoping to use the PHP mail function. I have all the settings correct. I have even created a generic mailbox and put in the credentials for SMTP Auth. My server uses Qmail as its MTA, but it also runs sendmail, so my sendmail path is correct.

Any ideas why this isn't working or how I can get it to work?

You can set your Joomla e-mail functionality following the steps listed in our Knowledge Base article:

If it is still not working and you have an access to the exim main log, paste the corresponding lines in this thread.

Alternatively, you can contact the Technical Support Team of your hosting company. They should be able to troubleshoot the problem.
