Resetting 'public_html' / fresh start
Hi there. I have a shared hosting account.
I had been been playing around on my site with various CMS scripts, including Softaculous installations, as well as simply transferring scripts via FTP.
Now, I wish to completely RESET my folder structure to its original clean state.
I have tried deleting then recreating public-html.
I have also followed the steps in this KB article:
https://kb.siteground.com/article/I_...w_can_I_d.html
The problem is, after deleting the contents of puclic_html, the following keeps reappearing inside it:
sites
-default
--files
--default.settings.php
--settings.php
Even if I delete the 'sites' folder, it gets recreated with the above inside. Also, the the default.settings.php and settings.php files seem to have some references to an old Drupal installation. Is this normal?
Kindly advise. Thank you.

The best way to have a fresh start with a hosting account is to have it recreated from scratch. This is a free service that SiteGround customers can request by submitting a support ticket via their Help Desk.
