Help to Disable, Remove JHackguard
Hi
First I would like to thank the siteground developers team for making this extension available.
I've been using this extension for a while without any problem, but yesterday, I failed to access joomla administrator, the given message is: You do not have access to the administrator section of this site.
I never changed the user name or password, I still can access the ftp site and hosting site, please help in recovering the administrator access, and how to disable and or remove the JHackguard to gain access again.
thanks.

Hello,
I don't think that jHackGuard is the reason why you can't access your website. Anyway, if you want to remove it, please just remove the jhackguard folder which is located in your plugins/system directory. Once you do that, the plugin will be completely disabled.

Dear Hristo.P
thank you for your reply, I didn't find jhackguard folder in the plugins/system Dir, there was two files related to jhackguard and I deleted them, and another one which is the log file and I deleted it as well, now when I try to login to Joomla admin it direct me to the website, I still need to add the secret word to the URL to go to Joomla admin login screen and still having the same message: "You do not have access to the administrator section of this site."
I have two admin accounts and none of them works, I accessed the users database and changed the password of one of them and didn't work,
do you think there was some files modified by jhackguard?
Appreciate your help in solving this problem,
thanks !!

Hello,
I can assure you that jHackGuard doesn't modify any other files. Actually, the plugin is within a single file named jhackguard.php. The others are just informative files required by Joomla. If you are our customer, please send me a PM with your website and I will have a detailed look on it.
If not, it seems that you have somehow managed a core part of your Joomla application. I'd recommend you to make a backup of your files, overwrite them with the files from a full Joomla package and then to remove the "installation" folder. That should fix all core files that may have been damaged somehow...

I canīt access my admin login after I installed jHackGuard. Yes, Iīve been reading the whole forum looking for an answer after I red on the joomla extensions website a complaint about the same issue! If people is installing your extension and having the same problem why blame on other extensions? The problem is not the other extensions compatibility with jHackGuard its jHackGuard with the others!
All the jHackGuard staff answers I see is that jHackGuard is not the resposible for any problems with admin login and blablabla, but it seems obvious it is!!! everyone complains about it! Instead of answering saying jHackGuard has nothing to do with it please find a solution! I am going to change the jHackGuard.php file name as the other user did to see if I can get into the admin panel and keep developing my website.. I really donīt know if its better to be hacked by some looser once and a while or being unable to access your website!! Please find a solution!!! Cheers

Hello,
JHackGuard cannot prevent you from accessing your site. Most probably there is an extension that is not well written which is blocked by our plugin thus causing this issue. Please, send me a PM with the details to access your Joomla admin panel and your cPanel. I will then investigate this issue in details and provide you with a solution or even patch the plugin if necessary.
