Can someone walk me thru the steps involved to add a banner to this template (siteground-j16-15)?

I have added "<jdoc:include type="modules" name="banners" />" several places through out my template and its not displaying any banners.

Im using joomla 2.5
My banner module is enabled
I have all the default joomla banners, clients, and categories enabled (for testing purposes)

What am I missing?
