User Manager DB error (Joomla! 2.5)

when I click on "user manager" in the CMS / admin back-end following error occurs:

500 - An error has occurred. Table 'deb6363_joom1.joom_user_notes' doesn't exist SQL=

could this be related to 2.5 upgrade?

Hello,

What is the previous Joomla version you've used? That error could be caused by a migration from 1.5 to 2.5 but not from update from the 2.5 branch because those updates affect files only.

it was indeed an upgrade from 1.x to 2.x that caused it to happen, i only discovered it recently.
