Default http 500 error after enabling jhack

I installed an enabled Jhackguard on a Joomla 2.5 site. The site was built using a theme from rockettheme and the theme was built with the Gantry4 framework. I've used Jhackguard on similar sites (site made frome a rocketheme on joomla 2.5 with gantry4) without problems.

This time, right after installing and enabling the plugin, i went to access the setting for it and immediately got an http 500 error. Now I get that error on any page on the site. The site isn't showing online at all, frontend or backend. It's just spitting back an http 500 server error every time.

"HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."

I know.. this is the most generic error and there could be 10,000 reasons for it to show up, so my question isn't how to fix it (unless someone somewhere knows what's wrong), but rather how can i disable the jhackguard plugin without accessing the backend. I still have access to my hosting account and ftp access. Any advice?

    Default

You can disable jHackGuard via your hosting account control panel -> phpMyAdmin (or similar tool for database management). Access the Joomla database, find the extensions table and there edit the "enabled" value from 1 to 0 for jhackguard plugin.
