Server Fail Connect with Vbulletin - Server Upgrade NOT WORKING WITH VB!!!
I am a victum of the Server Upgrade! My Vbulletin forum was running smoothly for the past year that I've been with SiteGround until recently when I recieved some emails from SiteGround that they were transfering my account to a new and better server! HAHA!!! YEAH RIGHT! All I get now is Server Fail Connect Errors with Mysql! My users have to relogin constantly every few minutes just to post! And I have to relogin to my Admin as well every few minutes I'm trying to do something! Hell, I can't even make a backup now because of the disconnects!!!! This is flat out crap and don't even bother to try and blame VB because I know it's the New server upgrade that is to blame! I've even tried posting a ticket but you won't help because your system doesn't want any tickets pertaining to the new server upgrade? Furthermore you advertise VB hosting packages but clearly you can't even support it with your new servers! This is really frustrating and if you can't fix it soon then I'm looking for a new host that can!
Database error in vBulletin :
mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

The reason it is not working right now is because they are in the process of upgrading it. Open a ticket. BTW, you have a very nasty attitude.

I have every right to have an attitude when I am a good paying client. I should SUE the company for FALSE advertising. VB HOSTING? NOT. UPTIME!? NOT. OPEN ticket? NOT.
I already tried so don't waste your breath.
Just admit it that SiteGround cannot support VB and I'll accept that and move my site.
None of your clients here deserve this, least of all me. BTW how does it take a MONTH to transfer accounts to a new server when clearly I have the emails to prove that it only took them a few days?

The vB hosting worked fine on the old server, there are glitches to work out on the new one clearly. If you expect such support go elsewhere and get a VPS or dedicated server.

Thanks guys for the quick replies on this. I don't know what was done but I just got word that my members are not getting disconnects now. But the site is running slower then usual. At least it's working again so I'm thankful for the help. I appologize for the attitude earlier, I was just on my last straw with this and ready to walk, clearly this isn't an easy problem to overcome but I'm just glad that someone here was able to help me out so thanks again for your help.
