    Default Joomla 1.5 Template

SiteGround has released a Joomla 1.5 template, compatible with Joomla 1.5 RC3, and available for download at the Joomla template gallery. The template offers a number of features such as:

::dynamic Flash-generated stat charts for results in the polls component
::easy browsing through the news items in the Newsflash module
::different width settings and alignment (left, right or centered) for the site, and more

The template participates in the Joomla 1.5 template contest. For further details, you may view the post at the Joomla forum - http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,215097.0.html

Using Joomla 1.5.3 and this new siteground 1.5 template

When I try to use the "search" module it mangles the position of the border above the search box such that the search box is unusable in Firefox

In IE 6 it places the border correct but no search box appears.

I suspect that there is a problem in the distribution .zip since it works fine when I go to your preview online.

Any chance someone can put together a new .zip with same code being used on your preview?

Angry Search messed up / missing in new Siteground (joomla 1.5) template

I am glad somebody else has also reported the same problem. I was going nuts over it. I thought I saw it before and while customizing I may have messed it up..., but I guess Isaw it on the Preview online.

By default, no search appears anywhere on IE 6 and Fox. Have not tried IE 7. If manually placed in any of the user areas or right, 2 outer lines of the box appears like below
    -------------.

Please let us know how to fix the same soon.

I am talking about the siteground.zip template, one entered into the contest.

    Hello jigs and RedMan,

I see that you both have the same issue with this template, so I merged both topics. Alas, the template flaw cannot be properly investigated, so I will kindly ask you to both submit a ticket under the cPanel related problems category, in which you should provide a link to the Joomla installation using this template and a link to this topic. We will investigate this in details and our designers will have it fixed in the shortest terms possible.

    Hello again,

While posting here, I informed our designers about this flaw and they have already managed to fix it. The fixed version of the template is available for download via the link provided in the first post of this thread.

Thumbs up Next Big Hit For A Joomla Theme

I saw a really nice moodle theme that would look great on Joomla. You can see a demo of it through the following link: http://newschoollearning.com/moodle/?&theme=liip

It's a free moodle theme...and is really slick. It's very clean and sharp. If you could produce something like this for Joomla I think it would be a big hit.

    Hi,
I have 2 problems with your SiteGround template:
The first one is that I can't display the polls, returns an "Invalid XML data" error.
The second one is related with Google Maps Plugin, I can't display google maps with this template.
But this problems only ocurre with this template, when I change it for another template works with no problem.
There is any solution to solve this problems?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

Both of the issues you are experiencing are caused by extensions and not the template. I would advise you to contact a local developer in order to receive additional assistance on that matter. Alternatively, you can contact the creators of the extensions you are using in order to receive further information.

    Question Free Template Layout Guide

Can you include a layout guide with your free templates?

I am trying to discern where to install my NewsFlash (among other modules) to appear on the free template j15-76. Trial and error, and even Hristo's suggestions which have been very helpful previously, is just not working. I even downloaded a different NewsFlash Module but can't get that to appear either.

The Boss back in the USA is getting antsy after being scammed on the current website (sold to him as easily update-able and modifiable) and I am trying to make things better from a continent away.

    Thanks in advance

    Susan

Default I have one issue that has me confused

I appreciate the sg-Joomla 1.5 template design very much! Up to this point I've had no issues except... no matter what configuration used, small, medium or fluid, when viewing the template in an 800-600 view the template overruns the page. All in all I don't have a problem with that since I would more than likely choose a medium layout and not give my visitors the control panel option anyway.

Problem is.. no bottom scroll bar appears when viewing in 800/600?? As I mentioned, the template overruns the browser page, no problem, but there's no way for my 800/600 viewers to scroll back and forth across the page. I've checked in a number of browsers, mozilla, ie, safari and chrome, no bottom scroll bar in any of them.

Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
