how to back up Transformers 2 Windows 7?

Has anyone used the DVDSmith Movie Backup program?
I've been using this free program for over a year, and never have a problem to backup dvd movies. But, recently it crashes every time i try to back up Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen to hard drive. My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit.
any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

It is a common practice for the companies, which distribute movies on DVDs to place certain protections against copying the movies, which from these companies view could ultimately lead to unauthorized distribution of copyrighted content such as the movie in question.
