Default Email response click tracking software

I'd like to see if anybody out there has a recommendation for me. I'd like to install some software that will monitor who clicks on links in my signature file, and allows me to view by the email address. If you're familiar with phplist's statistics function, it would be something like this. This is my first priority.
I work with SugarCRM, so I'd like to be able to automate the assignment of tracking urls through the program. So if bob smith clicks on a link, the url becomes www.smartchive.com/name?bobsmith@smartchive.com

I'd also be interested in taking it one step further. Once the customer is clicked on, I'd like to get an idea of where they are going on the site. A usage tracking type function.

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Hello Paul,

I'm afraid that this is not quite possible. In order to track visitors who clicked on your signature, you should use php (or another processing language) code and that's where the problem is - a signature (in a forum post for example) cannot contain php code. The only way to accomplish this is to have a script hosted on your website, which will generate an Image file. That way you would include an image using the image tags instead of a php code.

Unfortunately, generating image file will not allow you to append any e-mail or to track your visitors the way you would like to.
