Default Help With Putting Some PHP Code In Mambo

I am busy migrating a website that I have already developed using php/MySQL with no content management system to mambo. The reasons being to save time utilizing the mambo modules & components already developed.

I now need to include php code that will generate a series of graphs based on parameters that the users must enter. I have looked at writing a new module for this, but am not sure this would be correct. It seems that a new component would be what is required. Does anybody have a simple solution for this? The reason for using mambo was to save time and I have already spent a lot of time reading up on how to do this.

I would appreciate some good help on this.

Thanks
