I am a hand-coder and made my entire site/user authorization for dynamic content by hand. (Even the MySQL queries)
My time constraints unfortunately have made it to where I probably will be unable to continue doing as such. My question comes in a manner of a few things (since I've never even looked at content managers until today, I even code my own forums) 1. How much control can I take with the style of the site itself? I am doing a lot of work with CSS layouts now and wonder how integration of it would work. 2. Does it support multiple layers of people? My site has different requirements for people doing posting content such as forums, calendars, news posts and what not. It's kind of a scary step for me to use a content manager because I am a hand coder, but I think it may be a step to take. |

Hiya,
I usesince about a1,5 year CMS and I am very pleased with it. First I used Mabo but as the core devellopers left the Miro camp I also migrated my sites to Joomla. There is a very good tutorial here at siteground for using Mambo. Joomla is almost the same, the core people still devellop it. There are also excellent Forums on defferent Joomla sites. Please checkthese out as well. All poeple visiting the forums wil be more than glad to help you. As they did me. Good luck |
