Newsflash in Planetfall Template

I have been frustrated with this so I hope someone here can help. While using and changing the Planetfall template, I cannot seem to find how to remove the "Newsflash" at the top of the page. It seems that if I add a new news item, it is displayed at the top under "Newsflash" as well as in its own area at the bottom. Does anyone know how to remove the "Newsflash" at the top of the page? Here is my site if you'd like to see what I mean. Thanks!

Hi Tonefusion,

I don't think you can remove newsflash by editing the template.

Try going into administration panel.
Using the administration menu, navigate to 'modules' then 'site modules'

there should be one named 'newsflash' check it then at the top of the page click 'unpublish'.

This should remove it from the top of the page, but not the bottom of the page.

You can also move it around on the page...
