Creating a new page

I was able to create the link at the top of the page next to the "Home, News, Contact Us" links, but what do I need to do to have that link point to and open a new, blank page? Basically I want to put my music on it so visitors can listen to my compilations. Whenever I try to make a page, it has items that the other pages already have....such as contact info etc. Any help would be appreciated.

I assume your problem of adding a page that looks different than your start up page is all about managing your templates. Here are 2 possibilities :

You`ll have to catch up with the concept of your 'default' and your 'assigned' template (see template manager). Your default template will always be used if no other template is assigned to another menu item. Therefore, if you have a menu item which is called 'Music links' and you do not want that page to have the same layout as your main page, you must 'assign' an other template to this link. There are many templates availabe free of charge. Just install them using your template manager.

If you wish to maintain the default template for you 'Music links' page, but don't want all those modules to appear on it, you will need to define this with your module manager. Open the specific module you wish to make disappear from the page and determine in 'Menu Item links' where this module should appear. If you select 'home', the module will appear only on your home page, if you select 'all' it will appear on all pages.

I guess it sounds confusing, but that's only because I tend to wite confusingly.
