Default Need feedback!

Hello folks,

here is the idea: mambo and joomla templates

We are in the process of designing both mambo and joomla templates. They should be ready in the next fee weeks, will be free of charge, and hopefully will be very well designed.

My questions are:

- any thoughts about the idea?
- tips/suggestions what kind of templates to do?
- if we have templates, would you use them?

any comments suggestions etc would be very useful!

Default yes

I think it would be a great service and i would look at them - for sure...
If you had a way to advertise this better - I am sure there are many many people out there strugeling w/html (me) that would love mambo/joomla to post content.

Thanks - keep up the good work.

Thumbs up

Hello,

Suggestion : Give them a try on IE, Firefox and opera.
Last week I just try my template on Opera and it looks buggy but not with IE/Firefox.

To use them, it depends what they looks like (of course) but why not.
At least they could be the base of some modifications.

Wait and see.

anyway, it's a very good idea.

Collapsible left & right columns/module positions - makes it easier for people to integrate a forum without having to edit the index.php files to make space for it. Also lots of module positions and an easily edited header - maybe so they can just change the graphic with their own.

I always wonder why more templates aren't made for 100% width, rather than fixed width.

Making a siteground referral (user configurable so you can insert your id into the referral) would be good in the footer. Maybe putting it as an optional banner or something?

Providing the psd or png files so the header image (if you have one) can be customised?
