    Red face Changing php variables

    Hi all,

i would like to ask if it is better to change php variables via php.ini files or via .htaccess file and why.
The requested variables to change are display errors and magic quotes gpc which i want from on to become off.

Up to now i have been able to change them via many php.ini files in every directory but it does not seem so practical but i am too newbie to have a valid opinion that is why i ask.

Thank you in advance for your time reading this.

The only difference between the two methods is that .htaccess files support inheritance whereas custom php.ini files do not and in case of the latter you will have to copy the custom php.ini file in every directory in which you want to apply the modifications.
